MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE

The material used is cast bronze coming out
from an old Italian artisan foundry. The results
are artistic unique pieces which can be finished
with different patinas; these can be dark grey,
greenish, brown effect, or real gold plated
or with gold colour finishing.
Each piece has
an individual casting, numbered and limited.
The
technique used is "Cire Perdue",
a method of bronze casting, using a clay
core and a wax coating placed in a mould.
The wax is melted into the mould and drained
out. Then bronze is poured into the
space left, producing a hollow bronze
figure when the core is discarded.
